- Students who have reached their Pell Grant lifetime eligibility usage are not eligible for SEOG.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
- Be enrolled in a first-time bachelor’s degree program
- Complete any verification requirements, if selected
- Changes to a student’s eligibility after the verification process or a review of changed FAFSA data may result in changes to the amount of offered Pell Grant.
- Be enrolled at least half time (at least six credits)
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
General SEOG Information
- A federal SEOG alone will not cover tuition and fees.
- Continuing students must submit the FAFSA for each academic year they plan to enroll to be considered.
- Changes in financial circumstances in future academic years can change a student’s eligibility or grant amount.
- Funding is subject to availability and not guaranteed year to year.
